Villagio of Broomfield is a 47,392 sf - 51-unit, single story wood-framed facility consisting of three pods designed to serve residents with early stages of dementia.
The new facility is structural slab-on-void with stucco and faux stone exterior and a combination shingle, EPDM and metal roof. Individual units contain PTAC’s, while common spaces are served by a central mechanical system.
Villagio also has a full commercial kitchen.
Pinkard also collaborated with the Colorado Department of Transportation to create a West 120th Avenue acceleration/deceleration lane for the property, which is located between Sheridan Boulevard and Main Street in Broomfield.
Early in construction, record spring rains delayed the project for four months.
During the design development phase, Pinkard worked closely with VTBS Architects and Owner Blackwood Development to identify over $500,000 in value engineering savings.
