Pinkard began work on Environmental Resource Associates’ (ERA) new office and laboratory in Golden months before we broke ground. For the six months prior to construction, Pinkard worked with ERA to find the best location for their new facility and provided multiple budgets and schedule strategies. This client, a worldwide leader in liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis was relatively new to construction and utilized Pinkard’s expertise to ensure the optimal site was chosen.
Once the ideal location was found, Pinkard worked with Duro Electric and Heating and Plumbing Engineers in a design-build relationship to meet the owner’s requirements for multiple laboratory gasses, large volume air exchanges, extensive venting and piping and power requirements.
The new facility consolidated and expanded ERA’s space from their former 27,000 sf facilty in Arvada to this new 66,000 sf facility in Golden. The new building contains double the lab space and provides ERA with 22,000 sf of Class A office space.
The laboratory space includes hazardous material storage, multiple 500+ gallon above ground storage tanks, fume hoods, and services for advanced analytical equipment. In addition to the office space, Pinkard also installed a commercial kitchen which the owner rents to a catering business and also uses to provide top-notch food to their employees.
