LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Pinkard Construction announced today that Tony Burke has been named president of Pinkard Construction Company and Jeff Barnes has been named chief operating officer.

A Pinkard employee since 1999, Tony Burke has continually distinguished himself as a value-added contributor for Pinkard and our clients in all phases of his career. Starting as a project engineer, Tony has moved through the ranks as senior engineer, project manager, senior project manager, and construction manager. Tony has a passion for client development and a hands-on approach to everything he does.

Tony’s strong relationship skills and ability to totally immerse himself in a project has led one client to say “...the way he conducts himself; the stuff he remembers and looks out for is just amazing.”

Tony has a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management from Purdue University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Tony Burke has provided tremendous leadership in Pinkard’s senior living, municipal and healthcare groups. Says Burke, “My goal for the organization is for us to simply have an acute understanding of our clients’ goals and missions, and to equip and empower each of our team members to create an unmatched client experience.”

Jim Pinkard: “Throughout his career, Tony has exhibited great leadership and vision. He has enthusiastically taken on work beyond his job description, has developed new clients and markets, and has earned respect from his peers, coworkers, and clients.”

Jeff Barnes joined Pinkard Construction in 2000 following several years with other commercial contractors in Colorado and Arizona. In the construction business since 1973, Jeff has hands-on experience as a superintendent, project manager, senior project manager, construction manager and operations manager. He is a problem solver who excels at team building, communication, and financial management.

In his new role, Barnes will oversee all business directly relating to preconstruction, construction, self performance, and warranty, and will work directly with Pinkard’s director of preconstruction, construction managers and field management.

He hopes to, “Increase communication and collaboration among all phases and aspects of the construction process, bring a new approach to client acquisition and retention, and allow our teams the authority to get their jobs done efficiently for the overall benefit of the project.”

Jim Pinkard: “This new role is the logical next step for Jeff. He has tremendous leadership skills, knowledge, and experience in operations, and will continue to be a great asset for Pinkard, our clients and their projects.”
